The major goal is to develop a new low shear process pump which is significantly more separation friendly than other pumps on the market.

We think that much of our competence within droplet size, shear forces and emulsions which have been developed the last five years through the development of Typhoon Valve will also be applicable within pumping technology says the engineering manager of Typhonix, Atle Sjølyst-Kverneland.

The pre-project has been established together with The Research Council, Total, ConocoPhillips and Statoil and will have kick-off in November.
