Receives funding for development of low shear process pump

In competition with over 100 other companies Typhonix is among 17 companies receiving funding from the Research Council of Norway's PETROMAKS programme.

The funding is awarded to support the development of a low shear centrifugal process pump. The pump will contribute to cleaner oil production by improved oil/water separation, cleaner produced water and reduced environmental impact. The project has a total budget of 10 mill NOK where the contribution from PETROMAKS is 4,6 mill NOK.

PETROMAKS is one of 7 major programs in The Research Council assisting in implementation of the strategy initiative OG21 (Oil and Gas in the 21st century) The overall objecticve of the program is to enhance the next 50 years of oil-related activity and secure gas production in a 100-year perspective.
